Designing for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 was one of my proudest moments — I designed the official team shmaghs for all 32 nations, blending tradition with global spirit. The shmagh, a deeply symbolic piece of Qatari heritage, became a canvas for storytelling and cultural exchange. Seeing my designs approved by FIFA and worn by fans around the world was a true celebration of design that connects people.

I designed 21 product categories, ranging from home textiles, travel accessories, candles, ceramic mugs and cups, ladies scarves, traditional team shmaghs, miniature dhows & much more.

I exclusively designed the official FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 team shmaghs, representing all 32 competing nations — a project that spanned over two years of design development, prototyping, and extensive FIFA licensing approvals. From the first sketch to mass production and retail rollout, I oversaw every stage of the design process, ensuring design integrity and quality at the highest level. 

The team shmaghs were proudly sold and worn across all 8 FIFA stadiums and retail outlets in Doha, blending Qatari heritage with global celebration.

The FIFA Ladies’ Scarves received media coverage in a leading Qatari magazine — a truly proud moment in my design journey.

FIFA Ceramic Mugs & Cups

The FIFA Ceramic Range was one of the most challenging yet rewarding collections to design. We went through six sampling trials to perfect the official FIFA Pantone colors, intricate design motifs, and precise logo application. Crafted from fine porcelain and produced in China, the range required special FIFA licensing approvals at every stage.

The final collection received outstanding feedback and commercial success, standing as a testament to design precision and quality craftsmanship.
